ECMC 25th Anniversary
International Electroacoustic Music Competition
During the spring of 2006, the ECMC sponsored an open competition designed to recognize recently completed electroacoustic compositions and performance and multimedia works of outstanding originality and quality. The competition judges, consisting of members of the Eastman Composition Department faculty and ECMC staff members, reviewed more than eighty submissions by composers and musicians from ten countries and awarded the following prizes:

First prize: Juraj Kojs, Charlottesville, Virginia
Revelations for circular toys, resonant plates and electronics, performed by 3 players and a MAX patch with 4 channel audio system -
Second prize: Luis Antunes Pena, Essen, Germany
Anatomia de um Poema Sonoro for soprano, speaker, alto saxophone, percussion, piano, MAX/MSP, Evolution UC-33 processor and 4 channel audio system - Third prize: Francis Dhomont and Ines Wickman, Avignon, France
Moirures, a video/audio composition
Three additional works of exceptional quality were awarded honorable mention citations:
