Noted Harmonies for clarinet quartet is dedicated to the composer and writer Benjamin Boretz. It reflects on some his compositions using a limited palette of well-known harmonies including the chromatic, diatonic, and whole-tone hexachords. The piece is lyric and often conversational, but also perhaps other-worldly.
