Playing in Coming Down to Earth

Thank you for your interest in playing my piece Coming Down to Earth. It is a composition that is to be played out of doors. It is not exactly concert music, but it is written for concert musicians to play.

Description of Piece:

Coming Down to Earth lasts 50 minutes and will be played in a beautiful pine grove in Webster Park in Webster, New York.

You will need to learn the simple notations used in the piece, many of which involve various forms of improvisation. The piece will be conducted.

We will play two or three performances on Sunday, October 3, 2001 at 1:00, 3:00, and perhaps 5:00 p.m. Transportation between Eastman and Webster Park and refreshments will be provided. We will have a dress rehearsal at the park on the afternoon of Saturday, October 2. (A rain date of October 10th, the next Sunday, is set.)
