Heather Gardner is a musician currently living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area after moving there from Rochester, New York where she earned her bachelor degree from the Eastman School of Music. She plays and sings with The Wills Wilde, a band devoted to exploring new combinations of rock, electronics, improvisation, classical and folk music and is a member of the Rochester-based early music ensemble Publick Musick. With a large emphasis on new music, Heather has performed works by Karlheinz Stockhausen, George Crumb, John Zorn, Robert Morris, John Cage, Milton Babbit and Luciano Berio just to name a few. Currently, she is working on a diverse repertoire of music for solo voice and electronics and has recently completed projects with Allan Schindler and John Zorn.

Besides playing and singing, Heather is interested in a radical re-thinking of the way we, as humans, live our lives. She is very interested in textiles, sewing, knitting and other ways of creating clothing and other usable goods as a way of re-defining our consumer habits.
